About Us

Highfield Dental Care is a dedicated independent private practice with an excellent reputation and location. Our premises has housed a dental practice since the 1960s and we especially liked the previous dentist’s philosophy towards customer care, which we endeavour to continue. We meet – and surpass – strict guidelines set by the General Dental Council and are very proud of our meticulous approach to cleanliness and patient safety.

Dentist | GDC no. 85816

I have been the principal dentist at Highfield Dental Care since April 2013 and am currently the only dentist at the practice responsible for looking after patients. I practice general dentistry and have particular interest in minimally invasive and cosmetic dentistry, and dental implantology.

I pay special attention to prevention and together with my hygienist try to make sure our patients’ dental health improves and stays that way. I pay great attention to the selection of dental materials and products we use in our practice as I feel it is important to provide the highest level of care and to be able to offer the very best outcomes. I also enjoy being able to transform someone’s smile to their desire and see what positive change this makes to their life and wellbeing.

I am a member of British Dental Association, British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and International Team for Implantology. I regularly read dental journals and attend postgraduate courses in the UK, Europe and America and have recently been accepted on a prestigious year-long Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry course with Advanced Dental Seminars in London which commenced in October 2014.

I spend my spare time with my family and enjoy water sports, particularly windsurfing. I play squash and in the winter, whenever I can, I go skiing. I enjoy outdoors and very much like walks along the coast of Dorset. I also like gardening and cooking.

I graduated in Katowice, Poland in 2000. Since 2005 I have been living in the UK on the coast of Hampshire. I enjoy living close to the sea and gorgeous places like Isle of Wight, New Forest, Hampshire and Dorset.

Highfield Short-term

Hygienist | GDC no. 4103

I qualified 1991 in Dental Hygiene at Cardiff and joined Highfield Dental Care Southampton in 2009. My role includes the provision of information and practical advice to attain and maintain dental health, with emphasis on the fact that dental health includes the whole mouth not only the teeth.

I really enjoy tailoring appointments to a person’s individual needs. Finding out about their habits, health and routines enables me to give tailored and therefore much more useful advice. I believe this approach is preferable to a blanket cover of ‘you need to clean your teeth better’ and it gets better results.

I keep up to date with my continuing professional development by using a mixture of on-line courses, dental journals, and seminars. The world of dentistry is fast changing and there is always something new, from products and theories, to guidelines. In this day and age it is easy and inspiring to remain up to date. Outside of work I enjoy creative pastimes such as sewing, drawing and gardening – when time allows!  I am married with two daughters so my week is half hygiene and half home and family.

I was born in Somerset and it was all I knew until I went to London to train as a dental nurse at University College Dental Hospital (which closed many years ago). London was a complete shock to a very green ‘country bumpkin’.  From London I went to Cardiff to study hygiene. I started work as a hygienist in Bristol before meeting my husband, marrying and moving to Hampshire in 1996.
