We think it is really important to provide you with lots of support and advice about the best ways to look after your teeth and mouth at home. Our dentists and dental hygienists will discuss personal recommendations at your appointment, but our general advice to ensure the long term health of your mouth includes;

  • Regular dental health checks. Being able to identify areas for concern as soon as possible reduces the risk of pain or further damage. Our clinicians will also be able to spot signs of gum disease and any changes that could indicate mouth cancer.
  • Regular hygienist appointments to remove any plaque or tartar build-up and check on the health of your gums.
  • Brushing your teeth twice a day, especially before bedtime, in addition to using floss or an interdental brush to clean between teeth every day.
  • Avoiding too many sugary or acidic foods.
