Non-surgical treatments

Here at Highfield Dental & Facial Clinic in Southampton we offer non-surgical, injectable dermal filler treatments to help reverse the signs of ageing and to rejuvenate your skin.

Dermal fillers can be used to reduce facial lines and wrinkles, create fuller lips and shape facial contours, such as cheeks and chin, and revitalise the skin. The benefits of facial fillers can last 9-18 months.

What are dermal fillers?

Used to lift, support and strengthen the facial structure, dermal fillers can be used to plump up the skin, smooth wrinkles and fill deep lines.

They can be used in different areas of the face, depending on your individual requirements, including cheeks, nose to mouth lines and to reduce deep forehead lines.

The lifting effect of dermal fillers can also be used to improve definition around the jaw and chin, which is particularly popular with our male clients.

Our professional healthcare team is highly trained to inject these dermal fillers. We strive to keep you as comfortable and as pain-free as possible throughout your treatment and we can apply topical anaesthetic cream to numb the area if required. This is especially beneficial when carrying out lip filler treatment.

Facial filler results can last up to 18 months, but there are variations between treatment areas and the product used.

Call us today on 023 8055 7063 or fill out our simple contact form for an appointment.

What does the procedure entail and is it painful?

Generally, basic dermal filler procedures require no anaesthetic as the dermal filler contains local anaesthetic.

It is simple and straight-forward, involving a few tiny injections directly into the skin, and takes between 30 – 60 minutes.

Topical anaesthetic is available for your comfort for dermal lip filler treatments at Highfield Dental & Facial Clinic. This is applied as a cream to the lips to numb the area prior to treatment.

Confident staff and technical expertise put me at ease.

How long do dermal lip fillers last?

The longevity of the dermal lip fillers depends on factors such as density of the filler, the injection area and the individual patient’s metabolism.

In most cases, the effect can last up to 18 months.

How soon will I notice results from dermal fillers?

The great thing about dermal fillers is the fact that the results are immediate.

Whether you are having fillers for definition, a non-surgical face lift, or a plumper pout, you will not have to wait to see the benefits.

At Highfield Dental & Facial Clinic we like to promote a natural looking outcome, giving you a youthful, refreshed, and revitalised appearance that you’ll love.

Are there any aftercare instructions?

Dermal filler appointments take between 30-60 minutes depending on your individual requirements and you can resume normal activities immediately.

You will be able to drive yourself home or return to work immediately after the treatment – there is no downtime required.

It is likely there will be some redness, pin prick marks, possibly swelling and bruising- particularly in the lips. It is advised to avoid alcohol, vigorous exercise, sunbathing, and extremes of heat or cold for 14 days post treatment.  These activities have been found to increase and prolong swelling. Make-up should not be worn for 12 hours.
